Traffic Supervision Information System
The Traffic Supervision Information System is a database created under the Traffic Act for the purpose of electronic storage and systematization of data collected during the road transport and traffic enforcement, the exchange between the relevant authorities and the supervision.

Also drawing up reports and analyses on the basis of the collected data. The following data is entered into the Traffic Supervision Information System:
- data gathered during exercising traffic supervision on roads regarding the roadworthiness, mass, axle load and dimensions of power-driven vehicles and trailers, payment of the road toll, adherence to the rules of driving and rest time of drivers, inspection of documents required for carriage under a legal act or an international agreement and carriage of hazardous loads by vehicles as well as the qualification of offences identified in the course of inspection and the type of penalty, including the data on serious offences specified in Article 6(1)(b) of Regulation (EC) No 1071/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council;
- data gathered upon inspecting adherence to the requirements of the working, driving and rest time of drivers in undertakings;
- data sent by a foreign state to the Ministry of Climate under an international agreement regarding road carriage or traffic offences detected upon inspecting an Estonian carrier and about respective penalties imposed, including data on serious offences specified in Article 6(1)(b) of Regulation (EC) No 1071/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council;
- data on a transport manager who has been declared non-compliant with the requirement of good repute.
Entering of data into the Traffic Supervision Information System is organized by the Police and Border Guard Board, the Ministry of Climate, the Labor Inspectorate and the Transport Administration. Personal data will be stored in the database for two years after which the data will be deleted. Other non-personal data will be stored in the Traffic Supervision Information System for five years after which the data will be archived.

When logging in the Traffic Supervision Information System, a natural and legal person can obtain data related to him/her from that system. Data related to a legal person in the Traffic Supervision Information System is accessible to a member of the board of the company whose relationship with the company concerned is checked from the Commercial Register. |
